Below is a brief overview of our benefits. It won't take long for you to realize that our focus is on issues that are most important to our employees and their family: health and wellness, personal finances, and work/life balance.
Ensure Your Health and Well-Being.
Your health and well-being are as important to us as they are to you. In an effort to offer health care benefits to as many employees as possible, all employees working 30 or more hours a week are eligible to enroll themselves and their dependents in our benefit program. This includes extending benefits to same-sex domestic partners. It is our goal to make health care easily accessible while providing education, enabling employees to be equipped to make the right decision for themselves and their families. As part of the MHM Services team, you will be able to choose the health plans that best meet your needs and enjoy time off for recharging your batteries.
Employees have three PPO plan options available. Every medical plan offers in-network and out-of-network options and includes prescription drug coverage.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
This program allows employees enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover eligible health care expenses. MHM matches employee contributions up to a certain amount. HSA accounts roll forward every year and are yours to take with you if you choose to leave MHM.
The PPO Dental plan covers eligible dental care expenses for preventive, basic, and major services. In addition, the plan provides orthodontic benefits for children. The plan offers in-network and out-of-network options. The dental plan offers an additional benefit called MaxOver, which allows employees to carry forward a portion of unused annual maximum benefit allowance for future use.
Our vision plan covers vision care expenses for exams, frames and lenses, as well as discounts on many other vision programs. MHM employees can even receive a discount on laser vision correction.
Paid Days Away From Work
We value the work our employees perform and appreciate the unique and stressful environments they work in every day. Employees need time away from work to decompress and enjoy time with family and friends so they can be most productive at work. MHM offers a generous paid leave program in our contracts giving staff up to five weeks of leave each year.
In addition to Paid Days Away from work, MHM recognizes national holidays. Holiday time off is based on the program.
MHM Services has a number of benefit options that will protect you during challenging times, help save for retirement, minimize your out-of-pocket expenses, and more.
MHM is pleased to provide malpractice insurance for all providers and clinicians.
401(k) Plan - Eligible employees can participate in MHM’s 401(k) plan immediately and MHM will begin matching employee contributions immediately. Employees are immediately 100% vested in any matching contributions received. MHM also offers a ROTH 401(k) option to staff who wants to further diversify their portfolio.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
This program allows employees reimbursement for eligible medical or dependent daycare expenses. Healthcare eligible expenses examples are co-payments, deductibles, eyeglasses, contact lenses and other health-related expenses that are not reimbursed by insurance. Dependent daycare eligible expenses are daycare fees and before- and after-school care fees.
Group Term Life and AD&D Insurance
All benefit-eligible employees receive life insurance under both Group Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance at no cost.
Voluntary Life Insurance
Voluntary life insurance for employees, spouses, or dependent child/children is offered at our reduced group rates.
Short-Term Disability Insurance
All benefit-eligible employees are automatically enrolled in STD coverage the first of the month following six months of employment at no cost.
Long-Term Disability Insurance
Benefit-eligible employees have the option to enroll in LTD coverage immediately and coverage is effective following six months of employment. LTD is offered at our reduced group rates.
Critical Illness and Cancer Protection
The Critical Illness/Cancer Plan helps protect our employees, their family, and their assets, in the event of a critical illness. The plan pays a cash benefit if the employee is diagnosed with a heart attack, stroke, coronary artery disease, cancer, or seven other critical illnesses. Enrollment in the plan is a voluntary benefit and offered at our reduced group rates.
Wellness Activity Subsidy
MHM encourages participation in ongoing fitness and weight management memberships designed to promote overall health and well-being. We provide subsidy for full time employees who participate in an ongoing membership to either a fitness related facility or weight management program.
Employee Discount Program
MHM leverages its relationship with vendors to provide discounts to employees for services such as cellular phone service, flower delivery, car rental, and computer equipment.
Our Pet Insurance program allows employees to opt for a program that covers check-ups, illness, and accidents for their furry family members.
Employees can opt in for Accident Insurance which covers costs associated with accidental injury.

We accomplish this mission through MHM University, our talent development platform. MHM University
integrates state-of-the-art learning programs to build a workforce that is technically and clinically sound
as well as interpersonally savvy.
We believe in a blended learning approach which uses a variety of delivery methods, including:

• Video-based learning modules
• Self-study tools

Beyond job-specific training, our department leverages additional resources to provide our employees with an array of learning-related career development opportunities, which consists of:
Our Clinical Operations department provides in-service training including, but not limited to:
• Introductions to Corrections
• Healthcare Overview for all Clinical Staff
• And specific orientations for medical, nursing, and mental health staff
All courses are compliant with the policies, procedures, and standards of NCCHC, ACA, and TJC.
Our company-wide learning management system tracks, monitors, and delivers over 450 e-courses for licensed professionals to earn CEUs and CMEs.
MHM University offers all full-time employees a pre-approved stipend towards reimbursement of continuing education, career and professional development outside of our offerings.
MHM Services partners with Catholic University of America and Drexel University to offer a reduction in tuition prices for our full-time and part-time employees on select undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degree programs.
Management & Leadership Development
We support our commitment to career advancement and the internal promotion of employees by offering over 400 online courses with an emphasis on interpersonal skill development. Additionally, our high-potential managers are offered an opportunity to apply for and, if selected, participate in a 15-week learning experience built on self-awareness and self-directed learning activities aimed to increasing one’s leadership effectiveness.
